Welcome to our Kentucky horse country farmhouse in Midway. This spacious rental is located on a working horse farm with peaceful pasture views, a covered porch, and plenty of room for families, friends, and groups traveling for horse shows, clinics, events, bourbon country, or a quiet Bluegrass getaway.

The home sleeps up to 8 guests and offers a warm, comfortable layout with multiple bedrooms, open gathering spaces, a full kitchen, laundry access, and outdoor seating overlooking the pastures. Guests can enjoy slow mornings on the porch, easy access to Lexington-area horse events, and the charm of staying in the heart of Kentucky’s horse country.

This is a well-loved farmhouse, not a hotel-style property. It has been thoughtfully prepared to be clean, comfortable, and welcoming, while still keeping the character of a working farm stay.

This rental is located on an active working horse farm. While the setting is peaceful and beautiful, guests should expect normal farm activity, including horses, equipment, staff, vehicles, and occasional farm sounds.

For everyone’s safety, please do not enter barns, pastures, paddocks, arenas, or horse areas without permission and staff supervision. Horses are beautiful, but they are still large animals and should not be approached, fed, touched, or interacted with unless approved by farm staff.

We take pride in offering a clean, comfortable, and welcoming space for your stay. Because this is a well-loved farmhouse, minor signs of age or character may be present. If anything needs attention during your stay, please let us know so we can address it promptly.

This farmhouse is part of the home base of Double Dan Horsemanship, owned by Dan and Elizabeth James. Known for their work with liberty horses, clinics, performances, and equine education, Dan and Elizabeth have built this farm as a place where horses, horsemanship, and Kentucky’s Bluegrass beauty come together.

Guests staying here get a quiet glimpse into that world — peaceful pasture views, horses nearby, and the charm of staying on a working horse farm in Midway. While the farm itself remains private for safety and daily operations, the farmhouse offers a comfortable place to rest, gather, and enjoy the setting that makes this part of Kentucky so special.

Cancellation policy

Security deposit

â–» A $500 refundable security deposit is required.
